About

I woke up one day and realized I was behind the ball

Not on effort. On financial intelligence.

I'd been working hard without really understanding money. Then I learned about the hurdle rate: the return your money has to beat just to keep up. If you're not making 12 percent, you're falling behind. Once I saw that, I couldn't unsee it.

So I made a choice: get in front of it. That meant a drastic change to how I live, starting right then, not someday.

Here's what I learned. Change isn't hard. Most people just aren't driven enough, or their goal isn't strong enough to pull them through. When the goal is big enough, the excuses stop working.

My goal is $2 billion in assets under management. I'm hunting it down with super aggression and reckless abandon.

One of the first things I changed was small. I stopped listening to music and started listening to books. Now the hours I spend working pay me twice: once in money, and once in what I learn.

That's why I built these tools: a scorecard to see where you stand, a 90-day planner to pick a goal strong enough to change you, and the money and partner sheets I wanted for myself.
